Head and Neck Pain Overview

Head and Neck Pain Prevention

Neck and head pain can easily be prevented from happening if you make the following actions a part of your daily routine:

  • Exercise regularly, this strengthens your neck muscles

  • While doing any work, physical or mental, take a few minutes break. Don’t do it continuously

  • Keep your posture correct while standing, sitting or sleeping

  • Learn how to stand, sit and work without bending your neck

  • If you feel stinginess and discomfort in the head and neck area, use proper back and neck support while working, driving or watching TV

  • Avoid stress and depression whenever you can

  • While sleeping, use a supportive pillow and never sleep on your stomach as it increases the chances of neck twists
